Everton are in talks with Jordan Pickford over a new contract and boss Frank Lampard says a deal for the England No 1 could be done next month once the transfer window shuts

Everton are in talks with Jordan Pickford over signing a new contract to keep the goalkeeper in Merseyside for the foreseeable future.

The Sunderland academy graduate has been virtually ever present at Goodison Park since joining from his local club for £25million in 2017, still the highest fee ever paid for a British goalkeeper.

Pickford demonstrated his value for Everton last season, producing several key saves as the club experienced one of the most difficult Premier League campaigns in their history, narrowly missing out on relegation.
