EitC Pledges Support To Refugees Project

Everton in the Community’s Health and Wellbeing Manager, Johnnie Garside, visited Uganda last week to attend the UK East Africa Health Improvement and Investment Summit to pledge the charity’s commitment to supporting the West Nile refugee operation in East Africa.

Johnnie was in Uganda to sign a Memorandum of Understanding for a new five-year project that will see the Club’s official charity join the West Nile – UK Health Partnership Consortium in a bid to contribute towards the wellbeing of refugees and hosting communities in the West Nile region.

EitC was also joined on a number of community outreach visits in Uganda by the Club’s Main Partner, SportPesa, which helped Johnnie distribute donated football kits from the recent ‘Kits For Africa’ campaign to underprivileged individuals in need.
