Kieran Dowell's breathtaking stoppage-time strike against Scotland ensured England Under-21s completed their European Championship qualifying campaign in appropriately stunning style.
Everton attacker Dowell was one of 10 players brought into the Young Lions' starting XI by boss Aidy Boothroyd after England clinched qualification for next year's tournament with a 7-0 demolition of Andorra last week.
Boothroyd's team did not want for fluency in Edinburgh, however, with the visitors raining 26 shots on the Scots' goal during a one-sided contest.
For all their dominance – England also hogged 66 per cent of possession – the away team needed an hour to make their superiority count.
