Double Success For Blues

Everton was crowned the Premier League Community Club of the Year at Monday’s MBNA Northwest Football Awards in Manchester, while Everton Ladies’ Georgia Brougham was recognised as the Women’s Rising Star of the Year.

Held at Lancashire County Cricket Club’s The Point and presented by the BBC’s Dan Walker, the annual awards celebrate all things football in the north west from grassroots to the Premier League, including community initiatives, unsung heroes and even local journalists.

The Club’s official charity, Everton in the Community, was up against Manchester City’s City in the Community for the accolade of ‘Community Club of the Year – Premier League’ and EitC’s Executive Director Phil Duffy and Neighbourhood Manager Sarah Atherton were in attendance to collect the award from John Hudson, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility at the PFA.
