Coleman's Ireland Earn Draw In Denmark

Seamus Coleman skippered Republic of Ireland as they closed their UEFA Nations League campaign by holding Group B4 winners Denmark to a goalless draw in Aarhus.

Everton defender Coleman played the full 90 minutes against the Danes, earning his 48th international cap.

The result was a repeat of the stalemate between the two sides in Dublin earlier in the competition but a pair of defeats against Wales meant Ireland’s relegation to League C had already been confirmed ahead of kick off.

Denmark came closest to winning the contest when Feyenoord striker Nicolai Jorgensen hit the post in the second half, with RB Leipzig’s Yussuf Poulsen also passing up a golden opportunity from six-yards out.
