Cleverley Calls For A Response

Tom Cleverley says Everton’s meeting with Swansea City can’t come around quickly enough after the disappointment of losing heavily at Stamford Bridge.

The midfielder has rued the timing of the upcoming international break, with the Toffees forced to wait a fortnight before resuming domestic action and the chance to respond to the 5-0 defeat at Chelsea.

Cleverley echoed the thoughts of his manager Ronald Koeman by admitting Everton were beaten by the better team on Saturday.

The midfielder felt the final scoreline was a combination of a poor Everton performance and a masterclass from Chelsea who moved to the top of the Premier League with the result.
