Carlo Ancelotti's home reportedly broken into by gang before they were disturbed by the Everton manager's daughter

Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti's home was subject of a break-in attempt from a gang on Friday night, according to reports.

The Liverpool Echo report that police were called to the house in Blundellsands - on the border between Merseyside and Lancashire - following the incident.

It is said the men approached the Italian's house looking to enter the property, but were disturbed by the Toffees boss' daughter when attempting to do so.

They subsequently fled from the scene before the arrival of police, who have yet to confirm that the incident took place.
