Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that he has employed a pre-match tactic he would use as Real Madrid boss to help his Everton players prepare for their FA Cup clash with Manchester City.
During his Bernabeu tenure, Ancelotti would often dodge talking about the opposition's best players – more specifically Barcelona's Lionel Messi – in the build-up to big games in a bid to not 'scare' his squad.
And the Italian has done exactly that before City's visit to Goodison Park on Saturday evening, and has tried to make his squad 'forget about the quality' Pep Guardiola's men possess.
