Burton Albion confirm the free signing of Everton flop Oumar Niasse after his release by Huddersfield as Brewers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink lauds striker's 'hunger and desire' after Goodison Park misery

Burton Albion have completed the signing of former Everton striker Oumar Niasse.

Niasse joined Everton in a £13.5million deal in January 2016, going on to score 12 goals in 36 starts but the 31-year-old Senegal international has been a free agent since leaving Huddersfield in June 2021 following a short-term deal.

Injuries meant that the striker was unable to make a competitive appearance for The Terriers during his four-month stay.
