The family of Bradley Lowery have thanked Evertonians for their “amazing generosity” after the signed match-worn shirts from the Club’s game against Sunderland raised nearly £7,000 for the youngster’s appeal.
Five-year-old Bradley, who was Sunderland’s mascot for the game in the North East last month, is fighting neuroblastoma, an aggressive form of cancer, and requires antibody treatment only available in the United States.
Everton Football Club has already pledged a donation of £200,000 to help get Bradley the life-saving treatment he needs - and the youngster’s mother, Gemma, has spoken of her delight after that figure was boosted by fans purchasing shirts and getting behind the campaign.
