Everton Under-23s have been crowned Premier League 2 champions.
The young Blues won the title without kicking a ball on Monday night after closest-rivals Manchester City lost 3-2 against Liverpool at Prenton Park.
The result means David Unsworth’s side are six points clear of second-placed City with both teams having just one match left to play this season – the Blues' finale being a Merseyside derby at Goodison on Monday, 8 May (7pm kick-off).
That is a game Evertonians can come along and watch for free and also see the Under-23s lift the championship trophy.
