Everton’s first-team players helped to bring smiles to the wards of Alder Hey Children’s Hospital on Wednesday when the entire squad paid a visit to the West Derby facility.
Ronald Koeman, his coaching staff and players handed out a raft of Everton gifts, including cuddly toys blankets, cushions, colouring sets and footballs, and passed on their best wishes to patients and their families, some of whom are set to spend the entire festive period on wards.
Blues boss Koeman said: “It's been really special to be here today, an incredible place and for the players and all of the technical staff coming here to visit the hospital and visit the children it's been a special afternoon.
