Anthony Martial is battling to be fit for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Newcastle at Old Trafford on Sunday, but Harry Maguire will once again miss out.
Martial is recovering from the back strain he suffered at Everton last weekend, less than half an hour into his first start of the season.
The Frenchman has now suffered three separate injuries since Ten Hag took over in the summer and has yet to complete a full 90 minutes for United in more than a year.
Cristiano Ronaldo is ready to lead the attack again if Martial is ruled out, having come on to score the 700th club goal of his career at Goodison Park.
