EVANSVILLE, Ind. - As the Purple Aces' exhibition opener nears, a member of the University of Evansville men's soccer team has received recognition.
Aces' junior defender Simon Waever has been named Preseason all-Missouri Valley Conference it was announced in a release by the conference office on Thursday morning.
"It's always nice to know, but its not what we are most focused on," said Waever on the honor. "Its always nice to get some recognition, but that's for last season and what matters now is what we do this season and what I do as an individual, but mostly what we do as a team.
