ST. LOUIS – For the second week in a row and third time this season, University of Evansville pitcher Izzy Vetter was named the Missouri Valley Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Vetter threw two no-hitters over the weekend while recording three victories for the Purple Aces. In 17 innings of work, Vetter allowed just one earned run while finishing with an ERA of 0.41. She struck out 32 batters while allowing just two hits and six walks. Opposing batters hit just .036 against her.
She opened the week against Oakland University, allowing two hits and an earned run in five innings.
