EVANSVILLE, Ind. – For the second time this season, University of Evansville freshman swimmer Daniel Santos Lopez (Madrid, Spain) has been named the Mid-American Conference male swimmer of the week after an undefeated showing in UE's 156-106 victory at Bellarmine on Saturday.
Santos Lopez won both his individual events, while also serving as the lead leg of UE's winning 400-yard medley relay and 200-yard freestyle relay teams. Santos Lopez took home his first individual title of the weekend in the 100-yard backstroke, as he won the event by over a second with a time of 52.03. He also cruised to a win in the 50 free with a winning time of 21.
