EVANSVILLE, Ind. - After helping lead the Purple Aces to a win over Bradley, University of Evansville men's soccer junior midfielder Jesse Stafford-Lacey was named Missouri Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced in a release by the conference office on Tuesday.
In a thrilling 4-3 win over Bradley on Saturday, Stafford-Lacey scored the game-winning goal from the penalty spot in the 90th minute, while assisting on another goal. Stafford-Lacey's game-winner secured an MVC Championship bid for the Aces in the regular-season finale, as Evansville earned the No. 5 seed in the tournament.
