Loyola opened the match with a fast start as the Ramblers record _ shots in the first five minutes of the match. After the early flurry of shots, Loyola scored its first goal of the evening as Jenna Szczesny crossed a ball into the box that Madison Kimball redirected into the back of the net to provide the hosts with the 1-0 advantage. The second goal for the Ramblers came in the 24th minute as a corner deflected down in the box and Sienna Cruz slipped it past the keeper to push Loyola out to a two-goal lead.
