Lowry Smashes 10K School Record

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Evansville senior distance runner Anna Lowry added to her list of accolades Friday night at the Jim Vargo Invitational.

Lowry came in first in the 10,000-meter run, while setting a new program record in the event at 34:44.37. Lowry's final lap of 1:17.69 helped her finish almost a half lap ahead of the next runner in the meet.

Lowry's time ranks in the top-40 nationally and is the second fastest in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Lowry now holds all seven distance records on the track for the Purple Aces, while also holding the 5K and 6K records in cross country.
