ST. LOUIS, Mo. -- After a historic race last weekend, the University of Evansville women's cross country junior Anna Lowry was awarded Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete honors for the second straight season, announced in a release by the conference office on Tuesday.
As the Purple Aces' highest finisher in Saturday's 2019 MVC Championship, Lowry highlighted the day, running an 18:22.2 fifth place time. Lowry once again wrote herself into the record books, earning all-conference as well as becoming only the second Ace on the women's side to finish in the top-5 at the league championship.
