EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Evansville graduate student Melanie Helder (Hudsonville, Mich./Hudsonville) will represent UE indoor Track & Field on Saturday at Boston University's prestigious Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Helder will take part in the women's 3,000-meter race, which is scheduled to take place at 1:13 central time on Saturday afternoon.
In order to participate in the 3,000-meters on Saturday, Helder had to meet an entry standard of 11:00 in the event. She is one of 98 competitors who will take to the indoor track in the 3,000-meters, with a seed time of 9:08, which ranks her in the top 25 competitors in the field.
