EVANSVILLE - Led by a dominant performance on the mound by senior Shane Gray, the University of Evansville baseball team took the series opener, 7-2, over Michigan State on Friday night at German American Bank Field at Charles H. Braun Stadium in Evansville.
"Great team win tonight to start the weekend. Shane Gray set the tone for us on the mound," said Aces head baseball coach Wes Carroll. "We had a great plan at the plate against a talented starter but I'm really proud of how we ran the bases and played with energy."
Gray went seven innings for the Aces, turning-in one of his best performances of the season.
