EVANSVILLE - Opening the 2019-20 preseason, the University of Evansville women's basketball team was buoyed by an impressive defensive effort in a 102-41 victory over Oakland City in an exhibition on Tuesday evening inside Meeks Family Fieldhouse.
Freshman Abby Feit dominated in her 25-minute debut, scoring a game-high 32 points to go along with seven rebounds, seven steals, and three blocks. In all, the Aces' defensive effort shined, as Evansville created 51 Oakland City turnovers, grabbing 31 steals in the game.
The lead ballooned early for the Aces as Evansville jumped out to an 8-2 lead before the first quarter media timeout with Feit scoring all eight.
