EVANSVILLE - Opening Missouri Valley Conference play, the University of Evansville men's soccer team battled back, but came up short in a 2-1 loss to Loyola on Wednesday evening at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
Evansville held off the Ramblers in the early going after Loyola recorded two shots inside the first 15 minutes and controlled much of the possession. The match evened out midway through the opening 45 minutes before the Ramblers got on the board first in the 36th minute as Liam Moore finished a corner kick off the foot of Marius Kullman for Loyola's first goal.
