ST. LOUIS – Following an impressive showing on the Purple Aces trip to Europe and an impressive resume prior to his college career, University of Evansville sophomore DeAndre Williams earned a spot on the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Third Team.
Williams posted an average of 24.3 points per game in the summer trip, which included a high of 32 points in the win over Gembo Borgerhout. The native of Houston began the trip with 24 points against the London Lions before wrapping up the trip with 17 tallies in France against AK Training Camp.
Leading up to his collegiate career, Williams was rated as a 3-star recruit by ESPN and Scout.
