CARBONDALE, Ill.- The University of Evansville swimming and diving team hit the pool for the second day of the Missouri Valley Conference championships on Thursday.
Maya Cunningham began finals with a fifth-place finish (1:44.63) in the 200-yard medley relay. She was accompanied by Iryna Tsesiul, Sage Moore, and Jessie Steele. Her highlight of the day, however, came in the 400-yard IM. She placed fourth with a time of 4:27.36, earning herself the UE record in the event.
Moore and Tsesiul also had successful days. Moore finished eighth in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:04.71. Tsesiul swam in the 100-yard backstroke in 56.
