Baseball drops road contest at Middle Tennessee, 6-0

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - Still working to find its offense this weekend, the University of Evansville baseball team fell to Middle Tennessee, 6-0, on the road on Friday afternoon in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

It was a tough day at the plate for the Aces, while Middle Tennessee got its offense going early. Evansville stranded a pair of runners in the first inning as senior Craig Shepherd opened the game with a single down the right field line, but was then thrown out on a fielder's choice in the next at bat.

MTSU stranded runners in the first, as well, loading the bases with two outs before senior lefty Nathan Croner induced a foul out to end the inning.
