EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville baseball team exploded for 11 runs on Saturday, including home runs by sophomore catcher Brendan Hord and senior first baseman Tanner Craig, as the Purple Aces cruised past the visiting Dayton Flyers, 11-2, in the 2022 home opener at German American Bank Field at Charles H. Braun Stadium.
"It is great to get back in the win column," said UE head baseball coach Wes Carroll. "The bats came alive today, with the middle of the order really producing for us. Shane Gray also pitched around some traffic and gave us a quality start, which was great to see.
