SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. - The University of Evansville men's golf team sits in a tie for fourth after the first round of the Bobby Nichols Invitational at Sevierville Golf Club in Sevierville, Tenn.
Evansville carded a five-over 293 as a team on the opening day of the invitational placing the Purple Aces in a tie for fourth. UE sits just six strokes off the pace set by tournament-leader Eastern Kentucky who recorded a 287 to open the invitational.
Leading the Aces in the opening round was Tyler Gray who tallied a one-under 71 in the first round, placing the senior in a tie for seventh, just three strokes out of a tie for first.
