Box Score EVANSVILLE - On Education Day in front of 1,500 screaming fans, the University of Evansville secured a 77-61 victory over Brescia University (Ky.) in its season opener on Tuesday morning inside the Ford Center.
In her regular season collegiate debut, freshman Abby Feit led the way for Evansville with 26 points and 18 rebounds, powering the Aces' offense. Also finishing in double figures for Evansville was redshirt junior Jada Poland with 11 points. For the Bearcats, Cassidy Moss paced Brescia with 14 points and six rebounds.
Evansville took an early 9-5 lead in the game, but Brescia battled its way back to tie the game at nine with less than four minutes to play in the opening period.
