EVANSVILLE - In its third Missouri Valley Conference match of the season, the University of Evansville men's soccer team fell to 17th-ranked Missouri State, 4-0, on Saturday evening at Arad McCutchan Stadium.
Early on in the match, Missouri State was awarded a penalty kick and Bears' leading goal scorer Josh Dolling stepped up to take the pK. Dolling's 13th minute PK missed high over the crossbar as the Aces avoided an early deficit. Four minutes later, the Bears were awarded another penalty and Matthew Bentley delivered the go-ahead goal for Missouri State. In the 20th minute, Missouri State pushed its lead to two on a second goal by Bentley who tapped home a cross by Ian Jones.
