EVANSVILLE – Joining the Aces as the sixth signing for next season, Gala Camarena comes to the River City for the 2021-22 campaign.
Camarena joins Australian teammates Elly Morgan and Kodie Myszka, transfer Celine Dupont, prolific scorer Je'Naiya Davis, and local freshman Maycee Lange as signees for the upcoming campaign.
"Gala is exactly the kind of point guard we were looking for," said Aces head women's basketball coach Robyn Scherr-Wells. "She is competitive, driven, and knows how to put her teammates in position to be successful on the floor. She is a pass first point guard, but also has the ability to score in transition, shoot the three, and make the defense pay in ball screen action.
