EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers have major holes in net and on defence but these are soon to be filled, at least if you go by the trade rumours.
It’s the NHL’s hottest time for trade speculation and there’s been no shortage about the Oilers, with new general manager Peter Chiarelli said to be — or urged to be — looking at a number of possible acquisitions, including New Jersey defenceman Adam Larsson, Boston defenceman Dougie Hamilton, New York goalie Cam Talbot and Ottawa goalie Robin Lehner.
Unless you watch each of their teams closely, it’s difficult to assess the value of each player.
