Stamkos Should Be Disciplined for Slewfoot on Zack Kassian

The Edmonton Oilers have have lost last night, but something showed int he game that was completely classless. And no, it wasn’t coming from our side of the bench. During the contest, Steven Stamkos slew-footed Zack Kassian, who then grew exceptionally angry and for right reasons.

Slew footing is incredibly dangerous. It could severely hurt a player, and it is deemed one of the lowest blows in hockey. And for these reasons and more, I think that Stamkos needs to do what every player does when they do something wrong: face the fire.

Matt Hendricks, a player who has never been disciplined in his life, accepted his punishment from the league for a severe hit that he did not mean to throw on Aaron Ekblad.
