EDMONTON - Oilers fans will have their first chance to check out Connor McDavid on the ice when the team opens its annual orientation camp to the public at 9:30 a.m. Friday.
McDavid, the highly touted centre and first overall draft pick in the 2015 NHL entry draft, will be one of several top Oilers prospects taking part in the six-day camp for young players. Centre Leon Draisaitl, drafted by the Oilers third overall in 2014 and defenceman Darnell Nurse, the No. 7 draft pick in 2013, will also be on ice.
