No. 1 star: Peter Quenneville, Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL)
Quenneville (1G-2A, +2), the overage captain of the Wheaties, and his brother John Quenneville (1G-1A, +1) sparked the 8-3 victory over the Calgary Hitmen that opened a 3-1 lead in the Eastern Conference final.
Brandon showed off its excellent balance, getting goals from eight players as it moved within a game of reaching the league final. Peter Quenneville contributed assists on goals by Morgan Klimchuk and Nolan Patrick 58 seconds apart in the middle period, when Brandon took over the game.
