There was a time when the Edmonton Oilers winger, Vasily Podkolzin felt like he was heading down the path of an NHL Draft bust.
Originally drafted with the 10th overall selection by the Vancouver Canucks at the 2019 NHL Draft, Podkolzin had a lot of hype as highly skilled Russian power forward. He showcased many abilities that teams covet in a top-six winger with a high skill level, great speed, and strength.
Especially with his pro-ready size, he at least looked to have a solid potential floor but after only a few season with the Canucks, his NHL dreams were dwindling.
