Oilers scratch top rookie Ike Howard ahead of match against New Jersey Devils

Edmonton Oilers head coach Kris Knoblauch revealed some big lineup decisions before Saturday's game against the New Jersey Devils.

In a press scrum ahead of the game he revealed that goaltender Calvin Pickard would take the start over netminder Stuart Skinner. Skinner had a big shutout victory against the New York Rangers earlier in the week but struggled against the New York Islanders.

He also revealed that they were replacing rookie forward Ike Howard in the lineup with forward Curtis Lazar. Knoblauch stated that he was looking to add "A little more grit, a little more defensively responsible play.
