Goalies come in all shapes, sizes and abilities. You can find a star in the seventh-round such as Henrik Lundqvist, as you can in the first, like Carey Price.
But if Russian Ilya Samsonov is still there when the Edmonton Oilers get to their 16th overall selection at the NHL draft, should they take a player who could be another Andrei Vasilevskiy?
Should the Oilers take a goalie like Samsonov who plays in Magnitogorsk, Russia, and has a contract there for three more years?
Shouldn’t they be more interested in using the 16th pick to get, say, a top two defenceman?
