The NHL is a copycat league and there are plenty of parallels between the 2024-25 Colorado Avalanche and 2025-26 Edmonton Oilers
The Edmonton Oilers have begun to turn their 2025-26 season around after a very rocky start and as recently as a few weeks ago were on the outside looking in at the Stanley Cup playoff picture.
As well, the Oilers struggled mightily in net having some of the worst goals against numbers and league-wide save percentage.
