NHL Players Lacking Waiver Exemption Who Could Be On The Move

By Lyle Richardson, Featurd

The NHL's waiver period for 2018-19 officially began on Friday, Sep. 21. This means a player assigned to his parent club's AHL affiliate must first pass through waivers unless exempt. Cap Friendly has the complete details. For those lacking exemption, rival clubs have 24 hours from the time the player is placed on waivers to submit a claim.

A number of players, including Buffalo Sabres left wing Matt Moulson, Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Oscar Dansk and Florida Panthers goalie Michael Hutchinson, cleared waivers since last Friday. Moulson was loaned to the AHL's Ontario Reign, Dansk was sent to the Golden Knights' farm team in Chicago while Hutchinson remains with the Panthers.
