Edmonton Oilers netminder Ben Scrivens had one goal in mind when he went to Cornell University — to be a pro goalie.
Now his wife, Jenny, has joined him.
Jenny signed Tuesday with the New York Riveters of the newly created National Women’s Hockey League. The Riveters will start playing out of a rink in Brooklyn, N.Y., this fall.
“I found out there was an opportunity to play and I jumped on it,” she said. “I do miss playing competitive hockey and I’m really excited about helping grow the game and getting other girls interested in playing.
