The Edmonton Oilers took a step towards solving their defensive issues, this time claiming defenseman Adam Clendering off the waiver wire today.
After being traded to the Anaheim Ducks on Jan. 15, the 23-year-old defenseman did not play one game with the team and was put on waivers yesterday. With the Oilers currently struggling on the backend and looking for any solution, they decided to take Clendering.
“I look forward to maybe sticking around a little longer,” Clendering said.
