The Edmonton Oilers are looking at a major shake-up as they enter the postseason. Despite the fact that many Oilers fans understand that the losing cannot continue, many hope that they do not trade certain core players, such as Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle.
At the end of the day, however, it is clear that it is likely one of these players will be dealt in the offseason in exchange for a big number one defense and possibly some other forwards as well. No matter who it is, we must realize that there are benefits — as well as cons — to trading away a core player.
