The San Jose Sharks are supposedly shopping around Patrick Marleau. Tonight, scouts from all different teams, including the Edmonton Oilers, were seen at tonight’s Sharks game, Elliotte Friedman told Hockey Night in Canada.
Sportsnet claims that Friedman said that Patrick Marleau’s name is “definitely out there.” The Oilers are apparently one of the teams interested in the Sharks winger. Scouts from EDM were competing with other scouts from teams such as Tampa Bay.
If this is true, which we are not saying it is, by the way, it would be a rather odd trade.
