The Edmonton Oilers have been on everyone’s radar when you hear the word “trade.” But now, interestingly enough, there is one regarding Montreal Canadiens forward Zack Kassian.
After a car accident earlier this season and substance abuse issues, Kassian was sent to rehabilitation. Just months later, Kassian has completed the first level and has been allowed to return to the National Hockey League. When he returned to Montreal, the Canadiens waived him. When he cleared, he was told not to report to the AHL’s Ice Caps.
Ben Scrivens was scratched for the Bakersfield Condors, and the Oilers have bought back Eetu Laurikainen from Europe.
