The Edmonton Oilers have reassigned defenseman Nikita Nikita to the AHL Bakersfield Condors and have recalled defender Jordan Oesterle from the Condors, general manager Peter Chiarelli announced today.
Edmonton has dropped its last three decisions and are seemingly struggling on the backend. They hope that this addition of Oesterle will get the defense rolling, or that it may just change things up and possible ignite a spark.

In 39 AHL games this season, Oesterle has recorded 22 points. He has two goals and 20 helpers this season, and when he played with the Oilers for some time last season, he had one assist through six games.
