Good afternoon, Oil Nation! We don’t have too much Edmonton Oilers news to go over today, but there is always calm before a storm (right?). So today we will look at former Oiler Sheldon Souray‘s retirement and the kind words he had to offer to Oil Country, as well as looking at the Oilers’ offseason so far.
Souray retired from NHL hockey on June 30, 2015 after a long stint in free agency. However, Souray’s years in Edmonton are not ones that go forgotten. Especially his 2008-09 season, where he played in each in every game and scored 23 goals and racked up 30 assists.
