There’s yet another Edmonton Oilers rumor coming out today, this time from ESPN NHL insider Pierre LeBrun. He reported today that the Oilers are intrigued in pursuing a top NHL defender to strengthen the backend, and the only way they are going to do that is by trading their pick, which will likely be one of the first NHL picks.
In his rumblings on Feb. 18, LeBrun discussed some trade rumors and news around the NHL. While he has suggested that Teddy Purcell will be dealt at the trade deadline, he said that hockey executive has said that the Oilers will win a top-three draft pick in this year’s lottery.
