The Edmonton Oilers were rolling. Seriously. They were on a six-game winning streak, and they took down teams that usually make them pay. Not to mention, they were playing smart hockey and weren’t letting anyone push them around.
Oh, how much can change in a couple of days, huh? After Oscar Klefbom fractured his fingers, and with Nikita Nikitin drawing back into the lineup, things have taken a turn for the worst. We have all been denying the need for a move for months. This December, we are not down and out just yet. There is still time to make a push, and if we’re going to make that push, it needs to be right now.
